For Praveen Suryavanshi, hospitality has always been about the details that make a guest’s stay deeply personal. “A room isn’t just a space,” he says thoughtfully, “it’s where lasting memories quietly take shape.”

As Director of Rooms at Four Seasons Hotel Mumbai, Suryavanshi oversees the heartbeat of the guest experience — from check-in to farewell — ensuring that every interaction feels seamless, warm, and meaningful. Having been part of the Four Seasons Mumbai family since the hotel’s pre-opening in 2007, he embodies the brand’s service philosophy with a rare blend of consistency and empathy.

Over the years, he has witnessed the property evolve into one of Mumbai’s most trusted luxury addresses. “What makes Four Seasons special is that our service is never mechanical,” he reflects. “It’s about connecting with people, understanding what makes them comfortable, and creating that sense of belonging every time they return.”

His tenure, spanning more than a decade with a single property, reflects both loyalty and leadership. Suryavanshi has grown through the ranks at Four Seasons Mumbai, mastering every nuance of guest relations, housekeeping, front office, and overall room operations. His hands-on approach and attention to detail have earned him the respect of both colleagues and guests alike. “Every department in Rooms has its own rhythm,” he explains, “but when everyone works in sync, that’s when magic happens.”

Born and raised in Mumbai, Suryavanshi feels a deep connection to the city and its people — something that resonates in his approach to hospitality. “Mumbai teaches you humility, resilience, and warmth — values that define how we host our guests,” he says.

A graduate of IHM Goa, he credits his early training with shaping his appreciation for structure and precision, but it is his time at Four Seasons that has refined his perspective on emotional intelligence in service. “Luxury today is quiet,” he observes. “It’s in the way you anticipate needs, in the care behind a gesture, or the familiarity of a smile when a guest returns.”

As Four Seasons Mumbai continues its transformation, Suryavanshi plays a pivotal role in redefining what comfort and personalisation mean in the modern hospitality landscape. “Every stay is a story,” he says. “And our goal is to make sure every guest leaves with one worth remembering.”
