The Ocean Club, A Four Seasons Resort boasts two incredible dining options right on the shore of the picture-perfect blue Atlantic Ocean. In addition to the phenomenal restaurant DUNE by Jean-Georges, the Resort’s other culinary gem is Ocean Blu, an open-air restaurant on the edge of the shoreline next to the Resort’s glittering infinity-edge pool. Ocean Blu, open daily for lunch, has launched a new dinner menu and updates to the restaurant's design. Enhanced with new furnishings and decor, combined with delectable cuisine, Ocean Blu is an exceptional option for chic beachside dining on Paradise Island.

Ocean Blu’s New Look

With an updated look by Joanna Kerr, principal of Joanna Kerr Design of Boca Raton, Florida, the new design concept for Ocean Blu is inspired by the stunning, expansive ocean views seen from the open main dining room.

“We strived to create a design experience that would seamlessly transition from day to night,” notes Kerr. “Every aspect of the design was carefully curated and considered to frame, highlight and celebrate the extraordinary ocean view.”

A welcoming host stand is covered in rich, glazed blue tiles, with a beautiful striped valance shade overhead. Twinkling lanterns set the scene for when guests arrive in the evening. The dining chairs add interest with a transitional style that is light and airy. Shades of blue and white are layered to evoke a refreshing, serene, yet vibrant colour palette over the backdrop of a white beamed structure and teak deck flooring. A signature chandelier ofnavy blue basket pendantsanchors the centre of the restaurant, providing a defining feature while tying into the Bahamian tradition of straw basket weaving.  With the main colour scheme of blue and white dominating the look of coastal Ocean Blu, the use of different textured tropical florals adds pops of colour to the restaurant. Vibrant pinks and fresh greens add a splash of playfulness and create contrast.

Now Serving Dinner

Ocean Blu serves as the Resort’s main lunch restaurant, with fresh grilled seafood, salads, fish tacos and more. Now, Ocean Blu is open select nights for dinner, serving as an incredible destination for fresh Caribbean dining in an upscale atmosphere with a view, incredible ambiance and attentive service.  Led by Bahamian chefs Kyera Davis and Ingrid Johnson, the menu combines the vibrant flavours of the Western Caribbean with the enticing allure of Latin American cuisine. Ocean Blu’s culinarians expertly prepare grilled meats and seafood served with zesty tropical salsas. Some of the favourite options include the seafood platter with spiny lobster, shrimp, conch and more; snapper ceviche; branzino and grouper; blackened New York strip steak with island herb chimichurri, and more.

Guests can enjoy cocktails infused with exotic fruits while watching the sun set over the ocean waves. Ocean Blu’s relaxed oceanfront setting on the beach, combined with tantalizing flavours, transports guests to a true state of Bahamian paradise.

Ocean Blu offers dinner on Wednesday through Sunday nights, with live music entertainment on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings.

Reservations
Reservations are encouraged for lunch at Ocean Blu, however, walk-ins are accepted if space is available. For dinner, reservations are required.  Lunch is served daily from 11:30 am to 5:00 pm and dinner is offered from 6:00 to 9:30 pm, Wednesday through Sunday nights only.
