Four Seasons Hotel Prague is giving guests an opportunity to travel back in time with one of the most iconic classical melodies, Vltava (The Moldau). The newly recorded Eternal Beauty of Vltava was composed by Czech pianist Tomas Kaco exclusively for the 20th anniversary of the Hotel, which sits on the very bank of the river, only a few steps away from the Charles Bridge.

“Prague is truly enchanting, and Vltava is not just a river. It is a stream of lively memories, which are deeply engraved in my soul. It was an immense honour for me to revisit this musical gem with my own refreshing touch,” says Tomas Kaco who is originally from the Czech Republic but lives and works in the United States.

Eternal Beauty of Vltava vinyl is gifted as an amenity within the anniversary Eternal Beauty package, which introduces the charm of Prague’s riverside location, where history meets contemporary, through all senses with a stay in signature Premier River Rooms, daily breakfast, round-trip airport transportation, a bespoke list of top local experiences and signature keepsake gifts.

“We have put a modern spin on a classical melody and traditional craft to create a truly unique collectors' piece, one that celebrates the history of Prague through contemporary talent and revealing the eternal beauty of the city to every generation of our guests,” says Veronika Tamchynova, Director of Public Relations at Four Seasons Hotel Prague.

The unique, limited-edition vinyl honours the majestic charm of the Vltava River, which flows alongside Four Seasons Hotel Prague and inspires guests every day with timeless views of the city.

In a nod to local craftsmanship, the Eternal Beauty of Vltava vinyl was made in the Czech town of Lodenice, home to a gramophone production company, which has passionately honoured the tradition of the industry for more than 70 years to become the world’s largest vinyl producer.

The vinyl can be enjoyed on a gramophone or as a decorative piece of art. For those who wish to immerse in the modern beat of the classical Vltava anytime, the record is also available on Spotify.

Vltava (The Moldau) was originally composed in 1874 by Bedrich Smetana for My Fatherland, a set of six symphonic poems paying tribute to the legends, history, and nature of Bohemia, and became known as one of the most important pieces of Czech music. A little over fifty years after seeing the light of the day, it was selected for the first ever vinyl produced by the Czech Philharmonic in 1929.
