With only 10 seats, Julien offers a 10-course curated menu that celebrates modern French gastronomy infused with local influences, prepared with precision, passion, and creativity. Conceived by legendary Chef Daniel Boulud and brought to life by Executive Chef Thierry Motsch, Julien introduces a new era of high-end, immersive dining in the heart of Riyadh.

A distinct and exclusive concept within Four Seasons Hotel Riyadh, Julien captures the elegance and sophistication of modern French cuisine in a thoughtfully crafted environment designed for sensory engagement. The restaurant’s name, Julien, holds deep personal meaning for Chef Daniel—honouring both his son and father who share the name. It is a tribute to legacy, family, and the timeless bond between generations, reflected in the warmth and depth of the culinary experience.

Guests begin their journey by entering Café Boulud and passing through a jewel box-like vitrine corridor, setting the tone for the intimate experience ahead. They continue past a striking display of artisan cheeses and meticulously selected non-alcoholic wines, showcased like curated works of art behind gleaming glass. Nestled just beyond the display area, guests discover Julien’s private dining room—an exclusive, immersive space inspired by Chef Boulud’s own open and airy home kitchen.

Here, architecture and intimacy meet in harmony, with a striking contrast between patterned marble counters and rich wood tones, all animated by a deliberate interplay of light and shadow. This dynamic design rhythm, blending modern minimalism with timeless elegance, sets the stage for the sensory journey that follows.

Chef Daniel Boulud, celebrated globally for his Michelin-starred restaurants and culinary innovation, brings to Riyadh a concept inspired by his iconic restaurant Daniel in New York, infusing French tradition with modernity and regional elegance. Leading the kitchen is Executive Chef Thierry Motsch, a graduate of the prestigious FERRANDI School in Paris and a veteran of elite kitchens including Le Meurice, Le Louis XV, and L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon. His philosophy—centred on simplicity, seasonality, and emotion—is evident in every dish served at Julien.

Highlights from the inaugural menu include pigeon prepared two ways with roasted breast and knafeh-wrapped, deep-fried legs; dates delicately stuffed with foie gras; and sunchoke paired with olives. One of the signature moments features hamachi with purple cabbage and red vinegar, transforming tableside with theatrical flair. Each detail of the dining experience, from ingredient sourcing to dish presentation, has been carefully considered to create a journey that is as refined as it is unforgettable.
