Chef Gregory Joseph finds his home in Santa Fe

Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado Santa Fe, an enchanting luxury boutique resort comprised of 65 intimate casitas, announces Gregory Joseph as its new executive chef. Joseph will oversee all culinary operations, including the resort’s signature restaurant, Terra, where global influences meet regional delights with elegant cuisine backdropped by iconic mountain views.

“There is no shortage of inspiration in Santa Fe, with the sweeping landscapes, culinary diversity and distinct seasonal influences,” says Joseph. “Embarking on this exciting adventure with Four Seasons in a city rich in history is a great chance to further to hone my culinary craft and immerse myself in the local food culture.”

Joseph is a seasoned hospitality professional bringing more than 25 years of experience leading culinary operations at luxury hotels, resorts and upscale restaurants across the United States. Joseph has held impressive tenures at the Ritz-Carlton Central Park South and NoMo SoHo Hotel in New York City; Grand Hyatt Union Square in San Francisco; and most recently the Arizona Biltmore, a Waldorf Astoria Hotel, in Phoenix, Arizona.

Originally from San Diego, California, Joseph credits an early love for the culinary arts for leading him to the acclaimed Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York. Joseph sharpened his culinary skills in his California hometown, learning to blend the vibrant flavours of the West Coast with the sophisticated techniques learned at one of the top culinary schools in the world.

Over the years, he has lived in multiple vibrant dining capitals across the country, including New York City, where he worked at globally acclaimed Le Cirque and Jean-Georges. These experiences refined his cooking philosophy, inspiring him to embrace creativity while respecting traditional culinary techniques. In Santa Fe, he is excited to explore local ingredients while drawing upon his classic culinary training to bring sophistication, intrigue and excitement to the dining experience at Four Seasons.

While not busy in the kitchen, Joseph cherishes his time with his wife Lori, and their three young children: Lisa, age 8; Alex, age 7; and Nora, age 5. As a family, they are excited to make Santa Fe their new home and explore the local culture, cuisine and outdoor activities.
