Julieta Mechkarska brings more than a dozen years of hospitality experience to her role as Food and Beverage Director for Four Seasons St. Louis.  Although originally born and raised in Bulgaria, St. Louis is a bit of a homecoming for her as it was her first stop in the US when she arrived after high school. She loves St. Louis because the city offers both a big city feel as well as a small town vibe.

After completing undergraduate and graduate studies, she landed her first hospitality role as beverage manager at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.  She then joined Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas where she held various management positions and was relocated to Washington, DC with the company.  There, she also had the opportunity to assist in the opening of Trump International Hotel, Washington, DC. Most recently, Julieta was director of restaurants at The Cosmopolitan Hotel in Las Vegas.

On her career journey, Julieta reflects, “I’ve been blessed with many amazing leaders and mentors who believed in me and inspired me to be who I am today – it’s my responsibility to now ‘pay it forward.’ I hope that one day, someone will say ‘because of you I never gave up’.”

As the Hotel’s food and beverage leader, Julieta is a champion of her diverse team of professionals.  “They are all so varied in terms of career background, individual passions and areas of strengths. All these qualities have to be individually recognized and cultivated, and I’m so grateful to be a part of their journey. Of course, I’m learning from them every single day as well.”

When not at the Hotel, Julieta can be found with her family, as her husband and son who are the centre of her world.
