Following Michelin Guide’s inaugural release of Florida rankings, Chef Thomas Keller’s The Surf Club Restaurant was awarded one star. With a total of seven Michelin stars to his name, Chef Keller is the most honoured American chef by Michelin Guide.

The Surf Club Restaurant is located within the revamped iconic Miami social club property, located in Surfside, Florida and neighbouring Four Seasons Hotel and Residences at The Surf Club. Chef Keller honours the decades of leisure time and grand parties the property saw through his classic Continental cuisine, perfectly interpreted for today’s contemporary guests. This restaurant is the first in Florida for Chef Keller, done in partnership with Nadim Ashi and Fort Partners, where the menu draws inspiration from history of the renowned institution. Exuding an elegant aesthetic, The Surf Club Restaurant has been designed by Martin Brudnizki Design Studio, with Chef Keller and The Surf Club’s glamorous era in mind. Across both the restaurant and bar, a stylish colour palette of Aurelian blue and warm coral works in partnership with sleek timber panelling, while Art Deco-inspired chandeliers and mirrored detailing reflects the beaded ceiling to create an interior that feels modern yet anchored in tradition.

“It is an honour to be recognized by Michelin in my home state, where I first became interested in cooking. This recognition would not be possible without the dedication and hard work of our restaurant team in Surfside and our committed partners and loyal guests. I am proud to see the Guide expanding its reach to acknowledge Florida’s growing culinary talent,” shares Chef Keller. “Congratulations to all who have been recognized today and thank you, Michelin, for continuing to promote excellence in our profession.”

Chef Keller continues to set the highest standard of culinary excellence, endlessly innovating and encouraging creativity for all chefs.
