Italy’s rarest truffle returns for a second year of culinary excellence and charity

Following the success of its Thailand debut in 2024, Riva del Fiume Ristorante at Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River is set to host the XXVI World Alba White Truffle Auction on Sunday, November 9, 2025. This iconic event celebrates one of Italy’s most exquisite culinary treasures, the Alba White Truffle, and unites chefs, collectors, and philanthropists in a global tradition of fine dining and giving.

The Alba White Truffle Auction, held annually since 1999 at the historic Castle of Grinzane Cavour in Piedmont, Italy, has raised over EUR 7 million for charities worldwide. Via live satellite broadcast, the auction connects cities including Bangkok, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, Seoul, Singapore, and Vienna, creating an international celebration of gastronomy, culture, and generosity.

Leading the culinary experience in Bangkok is Executive Chef Andrea Accordi of Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok, a Michelin-starred chef whose global journey spans Europe and Asia. Guided by his Italian heritage, Accordi crafts an elegant menu that highlights the season’s rarest truffles, with subtle inspiration from his international experiences.

Joining him is a stellar line-up of Italian culinary masters:

  • Paolo Vitaletti, whose Roman roots and family recipes inspire Bangkok’s Appia, Peppina, and Giglio Tuscan Trattoria.
  • Christian Martena of Clara Bangkok, acclaimed for modern Italian creations recognised by the Michelin Guide and 50 Top Italy.
  • Davide Garavaglia of Côte by Mauro Colagreco, bringing the flavours of the French and Italian Riviera to the Chao Phraya with a nine-course Carte Blanche menu, and celebrated for earning two Michelin stars during his career.
  • Andrea Susto of Cannubi by Umberto Bombana, celebrated for leading Opera Bombana in Beijing to its first Michelin star, following his time under Chef Umberto Bombana, a three-Michelin-starred chef in Hong Kong.
  • Gabriele Boffa of Locanda del Sant’Uffizio, Piedmont, whose cuisine fuses local tradition with global techniques, earning two Michelin stars.

Rounding out the team is Executive Pastry Chef Andrea Bonaffini of Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok, whose spent more than 20 years across Europe and Asia, allowing him to craft desserts that merge classical technique with contemporary creativity, ensuring the evening concludes on a note as refined and memorable as the truffle-focused feast.

The event culminates in a live auction broadcast from Italy, offering guests the season’s most prized truffles, carefully selected by Enoteca Regionale Piemontese Cavour. All proceeds support the Border Patrol Police School Foundation (BSF) under the Royal Patronage of HRH Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, funding education for hill tribe children in remote areas of Thailand.
