La Capitale Celebrates 10 Years of Memorable Moments at Four Seasons Hotel Amman
This November, La Capitale at Four Seasons Hotel Amman celebrates its 10th anniversary, marking a decade of French dining, special occasions, and memorable moments in the heart of Jordan’s capital. Since opening in 2016, the restaurant has become a familiar gathering place for residents and visitors alike.
Over the past ten years, La Capitale has seen familiar guests return to their favourite tables, business lunches turn into lasting relationships and daily get togethers for guests at their favourite brasserie. At the heart of these experiences is a team whose dedication and shared history have helped define the restaurant. As La Capitale looks back on its journey, the anniversary is an opportunity to recognise the people who have helped make it what it is today, while looking ahead to the next chapter.
A Decade Shaped by Its People
Among the familiar faces behind La Capitale’s kitchen is Jordanian Chef Khalid Ballout, whose journey with Four Seasons Hotel Amman began in 2012. Having worked across several of the Hotel’s restaurants, he joined La Capitale as Junior Sous Chef, learning from the French chefs who led the kitchen before progressing to Sous Chef and subsequently Chef de Cuisine in 2022. His experience and knowledge of the restaurant have made him an important part of its culinary story, helping maintain the standards and traditions that guests have come to know over the years.
Pastry has its own longstanding presence in La Capitale’s story through Executive Pastry Chef Anas Al Qusairi, who joined Four Seasons Hotel Amman in 2008. Having progressed from Assistant Pastry Chef to become the Hotel’s first and only Jordanian Executive Pastry Chef, Anas has spent nearly two decades developing his craft and creating desserts that leave a lasting impression. His work draws on both his professional experience and his Jordanian heritage, with traditional flavours and familiar ingredients informing his approach to pastry.
Together with their supporting kitchen teams, Khalid and Anas represent the experience, skill, and shared effort that go into every service. Their work is part of the restaurant’s daily rhythm, often unseen by guests but central to the memories they take away.
Restaurant Manager Zaid Alamat and his service team have played an equally important role in shaping the restaurant’s character, welcoming returning guests, getting to know their preferences, and helping make occasions feel personal. It is the attention shown in small moments, the recognition of a familiar face, and the care taken to ensure guests feel at ease that have helped turn La Capitale into a place people return to over the years.
“La Capitale’s 10th anniversary is a chance to look back on the people who have shaped the restaurant and the memories we have created. Behind every memorable meal is a team whose passion, experience and care make the difference, and Khalid, Anas, Zaid, and their colleagues have played an important role in building the restaurant’s identity. We are grateful to everyone who has been part of this journey, including the guests who have continued to make La Capitale a part of their own stories. As we celebrate this milestone and welcome Chef Sasha, we look forward to building on that legacy and creating more memorable experiences in the years ahead,” says Till Klauss, General Manager, Four Seasons Hotel Amman.
Looking Ahead to the Next Chapter
As La Capitale celebrates the people who have shaped its first decade, it also looks towards the future with the arrival of Chef Sacha Enjalbert its new Chef de Cuisine. His appointment marks the beginning of a new chapter for the restaurant, building on the foundations established over the past ten years while bringing a fresh perspective to the culinary direction.
With its French brasserie heritage at the heart of the experience, the arrival of Chef Sacha signals an opportunity to evolve while preserving the familiar character, attention to detail, and sense of welcome that have made the restaurant a longstanding part of Amman’s dining scene.
As the anniversary approaches, La Capitale will also mark the occasion with a special anniversary dinner menu, available from November 17 to 20, 2026.
Ten years on, La Capitale’s story is one of the people who have given it life, the guests who have made it part of their own stories, and the shared moments that have filled its tables. As the restaurant enters the next decade, these memories remain an important part of its identity, providing a foundation for the experiences still to come.
