A Festive Gourmet Season at Four Seasons Hotel Ritz Lisbon

This year, Four Seasons Hotel Ritz Lisbon is joined by two Italian luxury brands to dress its Christmas decoration, as it has invited Ermenegildo Zegna and Bulgari to decorate the Hotel's two majestic Christmas trees. Dressed in magic, the Hotel reveals its festive program for all to enjoy.
Afternoon Tea
In the Almada Negreiros Lounge, a space adorned with imposing works of art all dressed up for Christmas, guests can experience the magic of the season while enjoying a Christmas afternoon tea…
Chef Fabian Nguyen has revisited his Christmas memories and wrapped them in delicious bite-sized gifts so that guests can feel the magic not only in the air but also in their mouths. Christmas gingerbread cookies, Christmas ornaments, homemade smoked salmon toast with chili and yuzu mayonnaise and of course, the chef’s scones served with jam and clotted cream, among other surprises. The menu includes:
- Jerusalem artichoke leaf with black truffle coli and cèpes powder
- Foie gras, cocoa and muscatel pear
- Homemade smoked salmon toast with chili and yuzu mayonnaise

Festive Dinners
Choosing only one gastronomic feast will be challenging:
Varanda Restaurant
At the Varanda restaurant, Chef Pascal Meynard presents diners with a variety of dishes that will fill the Christmas Eve dinner with flavour. The menu whets one’s appetite with three snacks: Atlantic spider crab, pickled cucumber, salicornia and kombu; sea bream, horseradish, grapefruit, ginger and marigold gel; and foie gras, girolles, chestnuts and truffle. The chef also promises that there will of course be cod at the table, with cured cod, bimi, shellfish emulsion and sea purslane. The rest of the menu remains to be revealed.

Ballroom
On the last night of the year, celebrations start at the table with blue lobster with blood orange with andeliman pepper, sour celery, crunchy seaweed, and wasabines.
- New Year's Eve Dinner – EUR 625 per person
CURA Restaurant
For those who prefer somewhat unexpected festive dinners, and in a slightly more intimate setting, on Christmas Eve Chef Pedro Pena Bastos, surprises with a menu where among 10 gastronomic moments are the ray fish with dashi mushrooms, white truffle and goose barnacles, or the minhota beef with celery root and smoked jus with juniper.
New Year's Eve celebrations at CURA include extravagant moments such as onion, black truffle, buckwheat and lemon thyme, or pigeon, apple, purple leaves, foie gras and hibiscus ending on a perfect note with the surprising dessert of cocoa, black tea, mushrooms and salted caramel by Pastry Chef Diogo Lopes.

The Ritz Bar also offers a Christmas menu (EUR 125) and a New Year's menu (EUR 245) available.
Wherever one chooses to enjoy New Year's Eve dinner, the Hotel has prepared a party in the Sala Fernando Pessoa that promises to end only when the clock strikes four.
Holiday Brunch
On Christmas and New Year's Day, the festivities continue and brunch is the ideal time to bring everyone together around the table again. The Hotel offers two brunches filled with mouth-watering festive delights that will be hard to resist. Since Christmas and New Year's come only once a year, everyone must promise Santa Claus that they will behave for the rest of the year.

Ritz Delicatessen Take-Away
For those who enjoy the festive season in the comfort of their own homes, Four Seasons Hotel Ritz Lisbon invites clients to dress their table for the festive menu that Ritz Delicatessen, the Hotel's take-away service, has put together. There will of course be no lack of cod, traditional bolo rei and bolo rainha. and everything that one spends the rest of the year craving for.
Ritz Delicatessen Take Away also includes the already famous Christmas Yule logs, almost too cute to eat. The three offers are: the exotic Yule log, with a coconut and lime dacquoise, passion fruit and mango confit, coconut cream and ivoire chocolate mousse; the chocolate Yule log, with jivara milk chocolate, red fruit confit, biscuit brownies; and for true chocolate lovers, the traditional black chocolate Yule log, with chocolate and more chocolate.
