Roots That Shine: The Christmas Tree at Punta Mita

At the heart of the season stands Roots That Shine, a living tribute inspired by the artisanal heritage of San Sebastián del Oeste, a historic village nestled in the Sierra Madre mountains. Adorned with hand-painted clay ornaments crafted by a collective of local women, the tree celebrates family, community, and the bounty of the Nayarit jungle. Garlands of dried citrus, tropical foliage, and vibrant botanicals bring a sense of abundance and natural beauty to the design.

The ceremonial tree lighting on December 5, 2025, will feature live regional music and storytelling moments that honour the artisans' journey. Guests will enjoy festive welcome drinks such as ponche de frutas with mezcal and cinnamon-spiced tea, and will also have the opportunity to meet the women behind the ornaments through interactive artisan stations and an ornament pop-up, where pieces can be purchased directly from the makers, ensuring proceeds go to them and their communities.

Noche Luminosa: An Elegant Dinner at Nuna Pool Followed by a Radiant Celebration on Cuevas Beach

On December 31, 2025, guests are invited to step into Noche Luminosa, an immersive New Year’s Eve celebration under the Punta Mita night sky. Designed in warm copper tones, celestial blues, and natural textures, the evening draws from Mexico’s deep connection to fire, light, and ritual. Pathways lined with Mexican lanterns lead to a beachfront celebration blending modern artistry and cultural symbolism, with the rhythm of the Pacific waves as backdrop.

The night begins with an elegant dinner at Nuna Pool, where guests will enjoy an international, upscale menu featuring caviar and seafood towers, artisanal charcuterie and cheeses, carved prime rib and rack of lamb, lobster and San Blas shrimp, seasonal salads, plant-based creations, and a decadent dessert station complete with macarons, cheesecakes, and a churro cart. Live mariachi welcomes guests, followed by a musical duo providing elegant, ever-flowing music throughout the dining experience.

After dinner, the celebration continues on Cuevas Beach with curated entertainment, interactive food stations, and signature cocktails.
