Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Marunouchi celebrates the spirit of summertime with its new Tropical Island Tour Afternoon Tea, available at MAISON MARUNOUCHI from July 1 to August 31, 2023. Conjuring the magic of summer vacation, this vibrant feast brings guests on a journey from Okinawa to the Maldives.

Crafted by Executive Pastry Chef Patrick Thibaud, the sweets selection is cast in a tropical palette of white, yellow, orange and green, bright with seasonal fruits such as pineapple, passionfruit, papaya, watermelon and mango. The menu also features savouries by Executive Chef Daniel Calvert, who deploys his award-winning skills to present an elegant repertoire of light bites.

MAISON MARUNOUCHI, the Parisian-style bistro, offers the perfect setting for this joyful dining experience. Sunshine filters in through floor-to-ceiling windows, bathing the interiors in a soft golden shimmer, while gliding Shinkansen bullet trains and iconic cityscapes form a spectacular backdrop.

Tropical Island Tour Afternoon Tea

Be transported to fabled tropical islands around the world through a series of sweet creations, each one named after its inspiration. Okinawa features watermelon ganache and Shikuwasa jelly in a macaron shell, while Hawaii offers an intricately layered cake of coconut ganache, white chocolate discs, fresh pineapple cubes and lime zest.

Take a trip to sun-soaked Tahiti with a composition of vanilla panna cotta, mango jelly and fresh mango cubes, set atop a crisp sable base, and taste the exotic flair of the Caribbean with a medley of papaya jelly, guava mousse and white chocolate. The wonder of the Maldives is evoked through a baked cheesecake, uplifted with fruity elements like passionfruit biscuit, banana and passionfruit jelly, and banana mousse.

On the savoury side, explore a refined selection of island-inspired bites by Chef Daniel. Guests can sample creations such as the Fruit Tomato Gazpacho, the Coronation Crab with Tapioca and Mango, and the Salmon Fishcake with Galangal Mayo. All-time favourites such as the Fried Chicken and Marunouchi Sausage Roll are also on the menu.

Complementing the food is a signature Tropical Drink, a sea-blue concoction of island flavours such as lychee and white grapefruit. To bring an extra sparkle to the experience, opt for Afternoon Tea with Champagne.
