A heartfelt drive to enhance the lives of others and create a healthier environment has propelled Dinna Wiji Safitri in an extraordinary career – culminating in her latest role as Assistant Environment and Sustainability Manager at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay. Blending diverse skills in communication, leadership and intercultural relations, Dinna brings an expansive vision to her role – from award-winning hospitality in five-star resorts to international community and environmental initiatives. Underpinning it all is her warmly outgoing nature, and desire to create a more sustainable and equitable world.

“I believe the hospitality industry has a critical role to play in promoting good practices and creating a more sustainable future,” she says. “At Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay, I’m proud to work in a resort where sustainability is integrated into every aspect – from design and construction to operations and guest experiences.”

Under her leadership, the Resort focuses on reduced energy consumption, waste reduction and sustainable procurement, prioritising Balinese products and craftsmanship. From cultural programs with local artists to beehives promoting biodiversity, care is interwoven throughout every guest-focused and behind-the-scenes element. The Resort also supports island-wide initiatives protecting the local community and natural resources, while its innovative new ecological cocktail bar, TELU, features sustainable local ingredients and upcycled materials.

Dinna is also dedicated to creating unique guest experiences.  “I want guests to feel an authentic connection to Bali – and a luxurious level of comfort – without it costing the Earth,” she says. “We have so many ways for guests to get directly involved – from a guided walking tour of our gardens and local areas to learning about green design principles, taking a cooking class with ingredients from our on-site herb and vegetable gardens, to enjoying a zero-waste cocktail workshop. Thanks to all of our sustainability initiatives, guests often comment that they can feel the positive energy of our Resort environments; it’s something intangible but very much alive.”

Born close to Jakarta, Dinna followed studies in English Literature with a US Department of State scholarship award at Northern Virginia Community College, where she excelled in media, public relations and marketing. Her talent for communication and love of working with people led to tenures in front-of-house hospitality for Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, and at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay, where her exceptional guest service and creative approach to problem-solving garnered acclaim and awards.

Throughout her career, Dinna has also collaborated with wide-ranging community service initiatives in Bali and internationally. From stints at NGO Act Global to the US Green Building Council, food banks and national parks services in Washington DC, her unwavering drive and innovative vision have helped to positively transform communities and environments.

Renowned for its global commitment to sustainability, Four Seasons pioneers a 360-degree approach with minimal environmental impact and extensive local outreach programs across its properties worldwide. In line with this, the Balinese philosophy of Tri Hita Karana – harmony with people, nature and spirit – is embedded in the DNA of Four Seasons Jimbaran Bay and its sister Balinese resort of Four Seasons Sayan; global benchmarks of hotel architecture and hospitality that respect natural resources, the local community and cultural heritage.
