In an enchanting new culinary series, Four Seasons Hotel Kuwait at Burj Alshaya is bringing the flavours and flair of Morocco to the stylish al fresco surrounds of its chic fourth floor Al Bandar restaurant and lounge.

Launching on October 12, 2022 from 7:00 to 11:00 pm, the vibrant events will showcase the authentic delicacies and warm hospitality Moroccan culture is famed for, in an atmospheric starlit setting adjacent to the Hotel’s outdoor infinity pool.

From October12 to 21, 2022, Chef de Cuisine Centrale Rachid Ouzkit from Four Seasons Resort Marrakech will use traditional Moroccan spices brought all the way from Morocco and present his “Moroccan Genuine Heart Cuisine”: authentic dishes cooked from the heart that convey the values of family, conviviality and sharing upon which Moroccan hospitality is based. A 25-year culinary veteran of the great palaces and restaurants of France and Morocco, he has also catered for the Royal Palace of Morocco, winning acclaim for his simple yet flavourful creations that reflect the refinement of Moroccan gastronomy.

From October 28, 2022, Al Bandar’s Taste of Morocco nights will continue every Wednesday evening for three months, under the expert direction of the Hotel’s Executive Chef Thierry Papillier, whose 15 years’ international experience includes celebrated tenures at Four Seasons Resort Marrakech and Four Seasons Hotel Casablanca.

Designed for sharing, lavish Taste of Morocco menus are served kitchen to table in beautiful Moroccan ceramic tableware. Among many other tantalising delights, guests can look forward to eggplant zaalouk and tchakchouka; assorted briouates with goat cheese, minced beef, and seafood; hariara with dates and rich chicken and lamb tagines, bursting with the tantalising flavours of delicate spices, dried apricots, preserved olives and tangy lemon confit.

Delicate desserts of orange salad with cinnamon and milk pastilla round off the culinary indulgence. Guests can then while away the evening under the stars with a range of ten shisha flavours, set to the evocative beats of Al Bandar’s DJ Nicole.

Decorative elements create a cosy Moroccan vibe, with staff dressed in traditional Moroccan jalabiyas, tarbooshes and babouche slippers. And in keeping with Four Seasons vision of creating meaningful guest experiences through cultural connection, every element of each evening – from the atmospheric set-up and care of culinary preparation to the genuine service – is infused with the generosity of spirit and heartfelt sincerity that the cultures of Morocco, Kuwait and Four Seasons so warmly share.
