Four Seasons Hotel Ritz Lisbon announces its vibrant summer program, designed to delight both Hotel guests and locals with a variety of events and activities.

June: Embrace the Festive Spirit of Santos Populares

June marks the beginning of summer with the lively Santos Populares in Lisbon, a celebration known for its traditional and popular parties.

The city is swathed in colourful paper garlands and people spill onto the streets, enjoying popular music, savouring grilled sardines, and sipping the famous vinho verde (green/young wine). June brings the much-celebrated Festas dos Santos Populare’ (Feast Days of the Popular Saints), with festivities reaching their peak on the night of June 12, St. Anthony’s Day, Lisbon’s patron saint. This night features grand parades and city-wide celebrations. The city comes alive with street food, dancing, and joyous gatherings.

In honour of this festive season and wanting to ever further guests' relationships with local culture, Ritz Pool Bar has crafted a special petiscos menu, allowing guests to savour the local street food flavours with a Ritzy touch. “The Hotel's dedicated petiscos happy hour offerings are the perfect way to experience the spirit of Santos Populares right at the Gotel, before heading the festivities downtown,” comments the Hotel’s General Manager Guilherme Costa.

• From the menu guests can taste: roasted sardine, grilled peppers; Josper-charred padron peppers or black pork sausage with alentejo bread

For Football Fans

From June 14 to July 14, 2o24, the Ritz Bar will please sports fans by screening the European Cup matches, paired with a dedicated football fan menu that includes some bar classics such as a sandwich club, a black angus Ritz Burger, the Portuguese bar classic prego in bolo do caco (steak sandwich in bolo do caco bread) and also a Portuguese finger food trilogy that includes shrimp rissoles, cod quenelles, and vegetarian samosas. To pair with this delicious menu, Ritz Bar suggests the monthly cocktails: in June the Martini Play, in July the Tequilla Striker.

July and August: Outdoor Cinema

As summer moves into July, Four Seasons Hotel Ritz Lisbon introduces outdoor cinema sessions, a partnership with Cine Society, creating magical summer nights under the stars. These sessions will continue through August 2024, offering a unique movie-watching experience.

There will be plenty of popcorn and drinks at these starlit cinema nights on the terrace overlooking the treetops of Parque Eduardo VII. Executive Sous Chef Fabio Pereira and his team have prepared a menu that includes succulent smash burgers, shrimp baos, vegetarian burgers and of course, popcorn to accompany the screenings.

On these summer evenings, it will be worth swapping the darkness of the cinema for the starry sky. Both locals and Hotel guests can enjoy snacks and drinks on the Hotel terrace, entered from Rua Castilho, from 8:00 pm, before the film screenings, which are scheduled to start at 9:00 pm.

To kick off the cinema nights, the Ritz Pool Bar welcomes everyone coming to the screenings with a welcome drink, from 6:00 pm until the screening time.
