Celebrate the Wonder of Winter: Nordic Village Returns to Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis November 1

Nordic Village: Season Three features a new addition – The Lodge – plus evolving Nordic-inspired menus, optional wine pairings, apparel and accessories
September 18, 2024,
Minneapolis, USA

What does the team at Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis love about winter? Let’s count the days - 150 days, in fact, as the fun begins early with the return of Nordic Village on Friday, November 1, 2024. In its third season, Nordic Village offers guests and community members an opportunity to celebrate the wonder of winter with a Minnesota cabin dining experience in the middle of the city. Featuring a new addition in The Lodge – a cosy cocktail lounge with seating for up to 24 for pre- and post-dinner cocktails, private events and buyouts – the new Nordic Village experience includes evolving Nordic-inspired menus, optional wine pairings and apparel and accessories.

“No matter what winter looks like where you live, Nordic Village is designed to make you feel right at home,” says Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis General Manager Florian Riedel. “From the moment of arrival, our team strives to warmly welcome every guest, create memorable connections with each person and provide personalized service with genuine heart.”

Adds Executive Chef Martín Morelli, “Nordic Village is an experience that brings people together. It’s all about sharing great food and coming together around the table. Many of our guests have a pretty good idea of what a Minnesota cabin experience is like, but if you don’t, we want you to know this isn’t a formal place; it’s meant to be familiar. So come as you are and enjoy.”

Reservations and Private Events

Reservations for Nordic Village – which include the option to book a special rate on a Hotel room – become available October 1, 2024, at 12:00 noon CT on Tock. When The Lodge is not booked for private events and buyouts, it will be open to Hotel guests and residents, community members and those dining in Nordic Village or Mara Restaurant and Bar on a first-come, first-served basis; no reservations required. At any point, event and meeting planners are welcome to contact the Hotel’s Events Team at sales.minneapolis@fourseasons.com to learn more and arrange pre-opening tours.

“Even though we expanded last season, The Lodge with seating for 24 takes Nordic Village to another level,” explains Riedel. “Last year, we would often hear comments like, ‘I want to bring my whole family here. I’d love for our work event to be held here. This would be a great place to host a party.’ The Lodge was created because of this feedback. Our guests asked, and we listened.”

Menu and Experience

Open for dinners, private events and buyouts Wednesdays through Sundays from November 1, 2024, through March 30, 2025, Nordic Village treats diners young and young at heart to an evolving four-course menu with the option to add a variety of wine pairings. Alongside cheese fondue and Minnesota-shaped s’mores, diners can expect a smorgasbord of Nordic-inspired items. Chef Morelli will reveal the first evolution of this winter’s menu in the coming days. For this update and more, guests and community members are encouraged to join Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis on Instagram and Facebook and subscribe to the Hotel’s monthly newsletter.

As part of its commitment to approachability and inclusion, the Nordic Village team will accommodate dietary restrictions and provide complimentary menu options for children under five who are dining with a Hotel guest. Pricing begins at USD 175 per person, and valet parking service is available for USD 10 per vehicle until close.

Designed and decorated by MartinPatrick3, Nordic Village includes five cabins seating up to four guests, three cabins seating up to eight guests and The Lodge with seating for up to 24 guests. The larger cabins and The Lodge are outfitted with TVs so diners can keep up with the game or enjoy dinner and a movie. All cabins are insulated and heated.

For extra warmth or to relive fond memories at a later date, diners will have the opportunity to purchase Nordic Village apparel and accessories from Hotel collaborators such as Faribault Mill. More details will be shared on Instagram and Facebook and via the Hotel’s monthly newsletter.
