A Sunsational Summer Starts at Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis

Offering community members and guests a head start to a sunsational summer, Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis will begin bringing people together on the Hotel rooftop on Monday, May 19, 2025. There, all will be welcome to drink and dine at the al fresco Riva Terrace Restaurant and Bar and Hotel guests will have access to the outdoor pool.

The Hotel rooftop will also play host to a summer party. Open to Hotel guests and community members, this complimentary event will take place Friday, June 27, 2025, from 3:00 to 6:00 pm. More information will be shared on Instagram and Facebook and in the Hotel’s monthly newsletter.

The only Michelin-rated Hotel in Minnesota, Four Seasons Hotel Minneapolis first opened its doors in June 2022. To celebrate three years in the Twin Cities, the Hotel will offer a variety of overnight packages such as Third Night Free all summer long. Additionally, guests who stay for three nights in June 2025 will receive a celebratory glass of bubbles upon check-in.

Riva Terrace Restaurant and Bar

At Riva Terrace Restaurant, summer feels fun, and it tastes like Coastal Italian-inspired fare. Light and refreshing, the menu features offerings such as Olive Focaccia, Panzanella Salad, Chicken Milanese and Affogato. Though not required, reservations for the summer are available on Tock.

  • Starting Monday, May 19, 2025, the restaurant will be open seven days per week from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm.
  • Also starting Monday, May 19, 2025, and every day the Minnesota Twins play at home, Smashburgers and Summit Twins Pilsner specials will be available.
  • Starting Wednesday, June 18, 2025, the kitchen will extend its hours Wednesday through Saturday, remaining open until 8:00 pm.

At Riva Terrace Bar, summer service starts with a crisp selection of wines, spritzes and Italian-influenced cocktails. Menu highlights include a Limoncello Spritz, Classic Negroni and Lemon Ginger Fizz as well as Aperitivo-style snacks such as Smoked Olives and Poached Shrimp with Scampi Sauce.

  • Starting Monday, May 19, 2025, the bar will be open seven days per week from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm.
  • Every Monday through Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 pm and Sunday from open to close, the bar will offer Happiest Hours specials, such as the Spritz of the Day, Seasonal Sangria and Pizza of the Day.
  • All season long, Riva Terrace Bar will serve Cocktails for a Cause as part of the Hotel’s commitment to the company-wide program Four Seasons for Good. These special drinks will be revealed when the bar opens and proceeds will be directed toward charitable organizations supporting people and planet.
  • Starting Wednesday, June 18, 2025, the bar will extend its hours Wednesday through Saturday, remaining open until 10:00 pm.

Rooftop Events

Starting today through the end of May 2025, hosts who book a social event on the rooftop for June or July 2025 will be offered a complimentary glass of bubbles for their attendees. Those interested may send requests and questions to sales.minneapolis@fourseasons.com.

Outdoor Pool

The outdoor pool will be open to Hotel guests starting Monday, May 19, 2025, from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm. Generosities such as sunglasses cleaning, sunscreen, aloe and popsicles will be delivered every hour.

To further elevate the experience, Hotel guests will have the option to book Poolside Daybeds. This offering includes a front-row seat to the outdoor pool, a bottle of sparkling wine or sparkling tea, seasonal fruit platter, bottled water and passed amenities. In addition to poolside food and beverage service, the Hotel’s Gelato Cart with house-made gelato, sorbets and toppings will be available daily from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm.  

Families and Children

In celebration of the Hotel’s third birthday, children of Hotel guests will be treated to:

  • A gift upon arrival,
  • Youth-sized slippers (youth-sized robes and lounge chairs will also be available for use throughout their stay), and
  • Gelato, offered daily from 3:00 to 4:00 pm on the Hotel rooftop.

Mara and Riva Terrace provide children’s menus and complimentary meals for those under five years old when they are dining with a Hotel guest who purchased a meal.

The Spa

In The Spa, the new HydraGloFacial pairs a vortex-fusion system from the HydraFacial with oxygenation therapy from the Glo2Facial to nourish and refresh skin and promote a radiant complexion. An ideal service to prepare for wedding season and summer soirees, the HydraGloFacial, as well as the original HydraFacial and Glo2Facial, is available as a single service or in a set of three for a special price; those interested are invited to inquire with The Spa Front Desk or call +1 612 895 5707.

In collaboration with Life Time, The Spa will offer a new seasonal fitness series on summer Sundays starting June 1, 2025. Information on how to register for classes will be shared on Instagram.

Mother’s Day Garden Party: All guests who have a confirmed Spa appointment on Sunday, May 11, 2025, are invited to sip seasonal refreshments, capture moments in time in a photo booth and craft a mini bouquet at the Bloom Bar from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Taking place adjacent to The Spa on Riva Terrace, this special event includes a sneak preview of the Hotel rooftop before it officially opens on Monday, May 19, 2025.

The Spa continues to collaborate with Cedar and Stone Nordic Sauna on a guided sauna experience with a cold element. Appointments are available to Hotel guests and community members seven days per week.

Mara Restaurant and Bar

At Mara Restaurant, local culinarian and James Beard Award Winning Chef Gavin Kaysen and his team invite guests to discover genuine hospitality, restorative dining experiences and summer flavours through new menu items such as Swiss Chard Pansotti Pasta and Branzino a la Plancha with Potato Puree, Fennel and Fresno Chillies. Seasonal highlights also include:

  • Lunch Prix-Fixe: Developed with locally-sourced ingredients, the latest version of this evolving two-course menu is revealed weekly on Instagram and served Monday through Saturday from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm.
  • Chef’s Table at Mara: A special offering on summer Fridays and Saturdays beginning June 6, 2025, this six-course menu is complete with surprises and an invitation to Mara’s “Heart of House” where diners connect with Kaysen’s team of chefs. A longtime mentor for rising stars throughout his Twin Cities kitchens, which include Mara, Spoon and Stable, Demi and Bellecour Bakery, Kaysen also makes meaningful connections with guests in his restaurants and beyond as the co-founder of KZ Provisioning and the author of At Home and The Synergy Series.   • Sunday Brunch: A growing tradition at Mara, this weekly buffet is further enhanced with the addition of a summer-centric cocktail menu. Reservations are available on Tock.

In Mara Bar, brand new cocktail and mocktail menus as well as snacks such as the Tehina Caesar Salad, Turkish Flatbread and Chicken Wings with Black Lime Ranch take centre stage.
