Four Seasons Resort and Residences Napa Valley Earns Forbes Five-Star Rating for Fourth Consecutive Year
For the fourth consecutive year, Four Seasons Resort and Residences Napa Valley has earned the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star rating, placing it among a select group of properties worldwide to maintain the distinction. The recognition was announced as part of the 68th annual Star Awards.
Forbes Travel Guide described the 85-room Calistoga property as "a haven on a pristine working vineyard," referencing the Resort’s 4.7-acre (1.9-hectare) organic cabernet sauvignon vineyard at the centre of the resort's 22.5-acre (9.1-hectare) estate.
The award arrives during a year of independent recognition for the resort's culinary and beverage program. Sommelier Derek Stevenson was recently named a 2026 James Beard Foundation semi-finalist for Outstanding Professional in Beverage Service, a distinction that reflects the depth of talent behind the property's wine experiences and fine dining, led by Auro, Calistoga's only Michelin-starred restaurant.
“This fourth consecutive Five-Star recognition reflects the extraordinary commitment of our team,” says Robby Delaney, General Manager of Four Seasons Resort Napa Valley. “Every detail of the guest experience is shaped by people who care deeply about this place and the moments they create here. We are honoured to be recognized among the best, and remain dedicated to delivering warm, thoughtful hospitality in Calistoga.”
Set at the northern end of Napa Valley, the Resort is designed around its working vineyard. Guests move between indoor and outdoor spaces framed by the Palisades Mountains, with accommodations ranging from guest rooms and suites to a collection of Napa Valley villa and residence rentals, some with pools and hot tubs. On-site, the Elusa Winery, where wines are crafted by Thomas Rivers Brown, offers grape-to-glass tastings without leaving the property. Three dining destinations include Michelin-starred fine dining at Auro, all-day Mediterranean-American fare at TRUSS Restaurant + Bar, and poolside California favourites at Campo.
The property's wellness offering centres on Spa Talisa, with vineyard-inspired treatments and couples massage experiences. Additional Resort amenities include two outdoor pools, hot tubs, a fitness centre, bocce court, and a kids' activity room.
Signature experiences such as Dream Drive and curated winery appointments offer guests privileged access to Napa Valley’s most sought-after producers—whether planning a romantic getaway, honeymoon, or Napa Valley weekend getaway. From personalized wine tours for couples to family-friendly Napa Valley activities, the Resort serves as both destination and gateway to the region.
“Forbes Travel Guide’s Star Award winners exemplify excellence in hospitality,” says Amanda Frasier, President of Standards and Ratings for Forbes Travel Guide. “This year’s list reflects the changing landscape of luxury with properties setting the standard for authentic experiences while offering unparalleled amenities, enhanced well-being and delivering unforgettable moments. We are thrilled to recognize their dedication to creating truly world-class travel options for today’s discerning guest.”
