J’Nai Angelle is a bartender and cocktail and spirits educator, recognized as [NOLA’s] Favorite Virtual Bartender by Where Y’at NOLA Magazine and NOLA’s Finest Bartender by Essence Magazine. A proud native of New Orleans, Louisiana, she holds a degree from LSU and brings more than a decade of bartending expertise to her craft. Her career spans a wide range of settings, from college and dive bars to fine dining and dessert bars. Along the way, she has competed in prestigious bartending events including the NOLA Bourbon Fest Bourbon Brawl, Espolon Cocktail Fights, and Speed Rack. Most recently, her cocktail Seafood on a Saturday was featured in Essence Magazine and the cocktail book A Quick Drink.
Her passion for mixology extends beyond the bar. J’Nai is dedicated to educating others about cocktails and spirits, traveling the world to gather knowledge and share it with her community. J’Nai also has a growing social media presence, where she partners with leading beverage brands to create engaging content, and she also spearheaded PickUp My Shift, a social media video series that pairs local bar talent with smaller brands to build exposure for both. In 2021, she founded Pretty Magic Cocktails, a platform offering cocktail and spirits education classes to the public. Her work also includes collaborations beyond social media, such as television appearances, brand tastings, and activations.
As Lead Bartender of Chandelier Bar, J’Nai blends her expertise and enthusiasm to create exceptional drinking experiences for guests. In addition, she serves as a mentor to women and non-binary bartenders through the Skylight Program by the nonprofit Another Round Another Rally.
