Born and raised in New Orleans, Melissa Comardelle knows the city in and out. “I love New Orleans – everything about it, from the history to the people, restaurants, bars, and attractions,” she says. As a concierge, creating special experiences combines her knowledge and connections, along with learning exactly what the guest is looking for and finding the perfect fit.

“As a native New Orleanian, I couldn’t be more proud to share our storied city with our guests. There is so much to discover here, and with our guidance, connections, and care, the experiences we offer are truly memorable. Anything and everything is possible – that’s where we start.”

As a Communications and History major in college, Melissa planned to become a high school teacher. However, her first hotel job hooked her, and the rest is history (though not the kind she expected to teach). She did learn that she could apply her teaching skills to share insight and knowledge with guests, and as an ambassador of the city.

In concierge roles in New Orleans at JW Marriott, The Ritz-Carlton, and Loews, Melissa used her local knowledge to guide guests throughout their Crescent City experience, and established many of the professional relationships she uses to this day.

In 2017, Melissa moved to Las Vegas as assistant chef concierge of Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino and Delano, where she led a team of 40 concierges. She joined Four Seasons in 2019 as Chef Concierge of Four Seasons Hotel Philadelphia at Comcast Center, before returning home in 2021 to open the New Orleans hotel.

A member of Les Clefs d’Or since 2009 and board member since 2018, Melissa has been recognised as New Orleans’ top concierge by WHERE magazine numerous times.

When not working, Melissa loves exploring the latest hotspots for food and drink, travelling around the world, the arts, and reading.
