Seattle, U.S.A.

On Wednesday, November 2, 2022 Four Seasons Hotel Seattle will be transformed into a culinary experience bar none for the James Beard Foundation’s Taste America Seattle: a large-scale, walk-around tasting event featuring James Beard-recognized chefs and others from the Seattle area.

The chefs will be hosted by two Seattle All-Stars: Executive Chefs Brian Doherty of Four Seasons Hotel Seattle and Goldfinch Tavern and Ethan Stowell of Ethan Stowell Restaurants (ESR). Chef Danielle Grogan will also highlight her pastry creations.

Food stations will feature Taste America TasteTwenty Chef Taylor Thornhill of Bateau; Jeremy Faust and Bill Jeong of Paju; Mark McConnell and Cecilia Rikard of Off the Rez; Shota Nakajima of Taku; and Matsuko Soma of Kamonegi. They will be joined by TasteTwenty visiting Chef Michelle Wallace of Gatlin’s BBQ in Houston, and many more.

Each station’s offering will reflect the chef’s signature style. In addition to the slate of Seattle stars and host chefs, another 10-15 libation and tasting stations will accompany this amazing lineup, bringing attendees pairings and face-to-face gourmet interactions - all highlighting the bounty of Washington and Seattle.

Taste America is presented by Capital One. Tickets are on sale online now.

The main ballroom at Four Seasons Hotel Seattle will serve as the backdrop for the culinary event, treating guests to floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Elliott Bay, the Seattle Great Wheel, and the Olympic mountains. Washington’s only Forbes Five-Star property is located next to Pike Place Market and the Seattle Art Museum, making it the ideal spot to explore the iconic destinations and attractions in downtown Seattle.
