Four Seasons Hotel St. Louis announces a comprehensive multi-million dollar renovation of its acclaimed spa, recognized as one of the top spas in the Midwest, unveiling a fully transformed wellness destination slated to debut in late April 2026. Designed in consultation with internationally renowned studio DesignAgency, the project marks the most significant evolution of the spa to date and reinforces the hotel’s commitment to redefining luxury well-being in the region. 

At the centre of the reimagined space is a design narrative inspired by the Four Elements — Earth, Water, Air and Fire — shaping both the aesthetic and emotional journey of the guest experience. Rooted in nature’s core forces, the spa blends balance, serenity and elevated comfort, reflecting the hotel’s vision for a contemporary retreat where wellness is both grounding and indulgent. 

A Nature Led Design Philosophy  

Natural materials, organic textures and elemental symbolism work together to cultivate harmony and connection. A curated palette and refined architectural detailing emphasize timelessness over trend, ensuring the space remains elegant and enduring for years to come. 

Each of the Four Elements comes to life through thoughtful architectural and sensory expressions: 

• Earth expressed through warm woods, grounding stone and tactile natural finishes 
• Water manifested in fluid lines, reflective surfaces and calming cool toned hues 
• Air embodied by open layouts, soft lighting and serene acoustics that create a light, spacious feel 
• Fire introduced through subtle warmth, ambient glows and refined metallic accents 

A Multi-Sensory Guest Journey

Every design choice is made with the guest’s sensory experience in mind. Soothing lighting, softened acoustics, natural scents and tactile finishes work together to create an environment that promotes relaxation, mindfulness and a true escape from the city’s bustle. The spa’s flow is intentionally journey-led, guiding guests to disconnect, unwind and restore. 

New Element Inspired Treatments

The renovation will introduce signature treatments built around the Four Elements concept, each designed to harmonize mind, body and spirit for a personalized escape. A renewed esthetics menu will emphasize customization, high touch techniques and lymphatic-focused facial sculpting, blending holistic practices with cutting edge technology to deliver transformative results.

Project Timeline

Renovation begins January 2026, with anticipated completion at the end of April 2026. During this period, the Hotel will continue offering a limited menu of wellness services to ensure guests enjoy relaxation throughout their stay.
