Kartik Kapoor's two-decade-long career with Four Seasons has been defined by his passionate journey through numerous key positions across several global properties. Since formally joining the Four Seasons family in 2005 - though he served as an intern prior to this at Four Seasons Sydney in 2002 - Kartik has held pivotal roles in renowned locations, including the Maldives at Kuda Huraa, Langkawi, Jakarta and now as General Manager at Four Seasons Hotel Sydney. His first assignment with Four Seasons was at the Boston property, which marked the beginning of an illustrious career.

"Dreaming of becoming an executive chef from an early age, cooking allowed me freedom, flair, and creativity. Though my career path has evolved, kitchens still hold a special place in my heart. Cooking remains a weekend passion, especially when paired with good music and a glass of wine.”

Holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Culinary Arts from Johnson & Wales University in Rhode Island, USA, Kartik began his hospitality career as a cook. His culinary background provided a strong foundation for his rapid ascent through the ranks within Four Seasons, elevating to a role as Food and Beverage Assistant Manager before moving on to hold positions such as Restaurant Manager, Senior Restaurant Manager, and Assistant Director of Food and Beverage at Four Seasons Langkawi. His expertise and dedication led him to positions of ever-increasing responsibility, including Director of Food and Beverage at Four Seasons Jakarta and, ultimately, Four Seasons Hotel Sydney where he commenced as Director of Food and Beverage before an ascension to Hotel Manager and now General Manager.

“Returning to Four Seasons Sydney, where my journey began, is deeply meaningful both personally and professionally. Our team here, with its big heart combined with the charm of this beautiful city, is dedicated to creating exceptional memories.”

Currently, as General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Sydney, Kartik oversees the operations of the prominent 531-room urban hotel. His journey from his early days as an intern in the kitchen to his current role exemplifies his deep-rooted passion for hospitality and his commitment to excellence.
