Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok Celebrates Loy Krathong 2024 at Chao Phraya Terrace
Experience the enchantment of Loy Krathong, the “Festival of Lights,” with a celebration of tradition, connection, and exceptional cuisine at Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok at Chao Phraya River. On November 15, 2024, from 6:00 to 10:00 pm, Chao Phraya Terrace will host a memorable evening honouring this beloved festival in a serene riverside setting.
Set against the captivating backdrop of the Chao Phraya River, the Hotel’s newest restaurant, Chao Phraya Terrace, offers more than just a dining experience - it is an immersion into Thailand’s culinary heritage. As twilight descends, this casually elegant restaurant transforms into a showcase for the country's rich flavours, highlighting the farm-to-table ingredients and traditional techniques of charcoal grilling.
“Loy Krathong is a time to gather with loved ones, to celebrate traditions, and to create enduring memories,” says Lubosh Barta, Regional Vice President and General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Bangkok. “This year’s gathering at Chao Phraya Terrace focuses on sustainable sourcing and the remarkable terroir of Thailand, blending cultural heritage with an intimate dining experience.”
The evening’s menu, crafted from locally sourced ingredients, shines a spotlight on Thailand’s produce through the refined art of charcoal grilling. The dinner, priced at THB 5,400++ per person, includes a welcome drink and a handcrafted Krathong to float in celebration. Children aged 6-12 are invited to enjoy the same culinary offerings at THB 2,200++, with all inclusions. Reservations require a 100 percent non-refundable deposit.
Guests will be captivated by traditional performances throughout the evening, including the elegant Khon dance and live Thai music, culminating in a breathtaking fireworks display over the river at 8:30 pm. Prior to dinner, participants will partake in the tradition of floating their own Krathongs, contributing to a beautiful spectacle as the illuminated offerings drift across the water.
Beyond Chao Phraya Terrace, all Four Seasons Bangkok restaurants - including Riva del Fiume, Palmier by Guillaume Galliot, and Yu Ting Yuan - will also be open with their signature menus available. Each guest dining at these venues will receive a complimentary Krathong, ensuring that all have the opportunity to join in this timeless celebration. A minimum spend of THB 2,000 nett per person is required (non-refundable), with this fee waived for Hotel guests and Four Seasons Private Residences Bangkok residents.
