In the newly unveiled Michelin Guide Beijing 2026, the Chinese restaurant Cai Yi Xuan and the Italian restaurant Mio at Four Seasons Hotel Beijing have once again been honoured with receiving one Michelin star and a Michelin recommendation, respectively, marking the seventh consecutive year the hotel’s fine dining establishments have received this prestigious recognition.
“Earning a Michelin distinction is a defining milestone in any chef’s career, but sustaining that level of excellence year after year is truly extraordinary,” says Lili Wong, General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Beijing. “At both Mio and Cai Yi Xuan, our teams devote themselves wholeheartedly to the pursuit of perfection, delivering refined consistency and exceptional quality every single day. With Michelin recognition comes elevated expectations, yet this year’s honour stands as a testament to their unwavering artistry, passion, and craftsmanship. I am immensely proud of their dedication and grace under pressure.”
Cai Yi Xuan embodies refined Chinese elegance. Designed as an art garden, the restaurant features polished zebrawood floors and eight private dining rooms, including two VIP suites and a chef’s table, ideal for business banquets, celebratory dinners, and distinguished social gatherings. Over thirteen years, it has mastered the balance between classic and contemporary, offering guests an immersive culinary art experience through exquisite Cantonese cuisine. Executive Chef Li Qiang, with more than a decade of culinary mastery, upholds the essence of traditional Cantonese wok hei while infusing creative flair, reinterpreting Chinese culinary heritage with passion and innovation.
Mio, meaning mine in Italian, captures the warmth and passion of modern Italian dining. Its spacious open kitchen, an architectural centerpiece, invites guests into a dynamic and engaging experience. From the moment of arrival, the service team offers seamless, intuitive tableside care, nurturing genuine connections through thoughtful interaction. The skilled culinary team presents dishes that may be finished tableside, celebrating both Northern and Southern Italian flavours while blending local and imported ingredients. Merging Italian craftsmanship with a touch of Chinese sensibility, Mio creates contemporary Italian cuisine that delights the palate, serving both lunch and dinner in an atmosphere of sophistication and joy.
