Upon arrival in the Hotel’s majestic lobby, guests will be mesmerized by the breathtaking Christmas decorations specially created for this festive season by the Hotel’s renowned artistic director, Jeff Leatham. Taking centre stage in the landmark building, this dazzling winter wonderland in shimmering white and gold hues transforms every corner into a unique festive backdrop. From a snowy and sparkling Christmas tree forest in the lobby, to a giant polar bear entirely made of ice at La Galerie and a gleaming raindrop of gold illuminations in the Marble Vourtyard, the atmosphere will be infused by the warmth and one-of-a-kind energy that define the Holidays.
To feel immersed in the magic of the season, guests will be invited to enjoy a delicious Tea-Time imagined by Pastry Chef Michaël Bartocetti and Head Baker Guillaume Cabrol in the enchanting setting of La Galerie. Available from early December, this tribute to French Christmas pastries features the signature Yule Log, the traditional Mont Blanc, a white cheese tart reminiscing Chef Bartocetti’s childhood, among other seasonal delights. This exquisite experience will be the perfect pause amid some last-minute holiday shopping, to truly settle in the warmth of winter afternoons.
On December 24, 2024, as the city prepares to celebrate Christmas Eve, gospel choirs will fill every corner of the Hotel, offering guests an unforgettable festive dining experiences in its restaurants. Chef Christian Le Squer will highlight the best seasonal products to craft a memorable tasting menu at three-Michelin-starred restaurant Le Cinq, including blue lobster with stuffed cabbage, aged Oscietra caviar served with creamy egg and pistachio, and the famous black truffle flower ravigote with Bresse chicken. Each course will be paired with exceptional wines curated by Director of the restaurant and head sommelier Eric Beaumard. Meanwhile, at Michelin-starred Le George, Chef Simone Zanoni will pay tribute to his native roots with a tasting menu twisted with Italian influences. Festive dishes like tuna crudo with truffled seabass tartare, langoustine, lobster and samphire ravioli or a one-of-a-kind Rossino Bresse chicken will be accompanied with wines from the largest Italian collection in France, selected by Francesco Cosci, Head Sommelier of the restaurant and best Sommelier of Italy. On December 31, 2024, to make the last evening of the year memorable and ring in 2025 in style, the Hotel will blend extraordinary tasting menus with exciting musical performances in a joyful energy. The evening will start at Le Bar, where expert mixologists will shake up an array of iconic cocktails with a festive touch. After toasting to this final day of the year, guests will make their way to the restaurants, specially decorated for the occasion. At Le Cinq, the bespoke New Year’s Eve menu promises to be nothing short of extraordinary, with dishes from ember-grilled wagyu topped with fresh black truffle, to a gratin of lightly seared shellfish with “Grand Siècle” champagne, and a winter garden and its shavings of foie gras vegetable jus foam. Le George will showcase refined dishes grounded in festive flavours inspired by the chef’s Mediterranean origins, with the likes of a truffled scallop gratin served with a champagne sabayon or a braised beef tortellini with foie gras in Alba white truffle jus. Lastly, in the lively and joyful atmosphere of La Galerie, Chef Taudon will propose a lightly seared spider crab along with Oscietra caviar milk flower, a delicious black truffle pithiviers-style dauphinoise, and French scallops in sea urchin shell with crumbled egg yolk, among other delights.
