Looking for a Rainbow at Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui
On the palm-fringed shores of Koh Samui, the monsoon brings with it a new lease of life: compelling wafts of wet earth, dramatic play of clouds as they migrate across the horizon, and the freshness in the air create a sense of wonder and awe. Even as monsoon showers come and go, the island vibe does not dissipate, “In fact, it is recharged and refreshed,” shares Hannes Schneider, Resort Manager at Four Seasons Resort Koh Samui. “We welcome our guests to embrace this season and discover another side to the tropical island life at the Resort.”
Rebalance in a Natural Sanctuary
With fern-fringed ponds and little pathways woven into space, The Secret Garden Spa is designed to accentuate the lush tropical setting. “Our Nam Bliss Ritual Massage feels all the more evocative during the green season,” says Kotchaphan Mekloy, Director of Spa. An immersive experience that draws on the soothing qualities of water, this ritual begins with a purifying rosemary and sage scrub, that is followed by a moist herbal steam. “The highlight of this treatment is a Jade Gua Sha massage to boost immunity and restore youthfulness, which is followed by a warm tropical flower-petal bath to conclude this ode to water,” she adds. The spa also conducts yoga or meditation sessions at the outdoor Yoga Sala, framed by swaying coconut trees and magnificent ocean views. “We can organize a private session in-villa too,” says Mekloy.
Just the Two of You
The natural symphony of verdant foliage converging with azure waters creates an ideal setting for romance. “If staying indoors is on your agenda, scroll through our library and get together for that perfect movie watching experience at our private cinema,” suggests Schneider.
Shake, Stir, Share
The intermittent sunshine allows for short stints by the beach to enjoy cocktails by the infinity-edge pool. “Our Rum Vault, a library of premium rums from across the world, offers the perfect way to spend an evening together,” says I Made Dwiki Prayoga, Bar Manager. “Learn a little bit about the fascinating history of rums and its connection to tropical world during the tasting session.”
Family Fun
The hillside Koh Thai Kitchen offers guests an opportunity to learn the secrets of southern Thai cuisine. Led by Sumalee Khunpet, Chef de Cuisine, guests get to sample slow-cooked curries and the freshest locally-sourced seafood. “Learn to make two local dishes from the Resort menu using vibrant local spices and aromatic herbs in a fun and interactive session,” says Khunpet.
The complimentary Kids For All Seasons program keeps the young guests busy with a daily schedule of immersive activities including umbrella painting, sea shell crafts and canvas self-portrait art.
Dine by Design
Nestled in verdant green with stunning views of the Gulf of Thailand, the villas offer some of the best tropical views during the rainy season. “Opt for a Thai style Moo Kra Ta BBQ with the family on your private outdoor terrace, or enjoy an intimate dinner for two,” says Schneider. “Our in-villa dining experience has something to offer everyone.”
Turndown and Relax
After a day of adventure, guests can end the day with a warm bath, drawn by a personal bath attendant. “Our bath menu features the finest local products aimed to calm the mind, nourish the skin and promote a restful sleep,” says Mekloy.
