Make Meetings and Events at Four Seasons Resort Orlando Simply Magical by Incorporating Walt Disney World Resort Entertainment and More

The 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort is the perfect time to plan a memorable event that will dazzle attendees

July 28, 2022,
Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort, U.S.A.

The 50th anniversary of Walt Disney World Resort is here, and the magic is calling everyone to experience it, including meetings and events planners. Four Seasons Resort Orlando at Walt Disney World Resort enables its meetings and events guests to partake in “The World’s Most Magical Celebration,” with a special connectivity with Walt Disney World. Meeting planners can arrange for Disney characters to make appearances at their event at Four Seasons, host special events off-site in the Disney theme parks, incorporate gifting with Disney-inspired touches, and more.

“For groups who want to integrate Disney into their meeting, there are a lot of ways we can deliver, whether it’s a full themed event or just little touches of Disney magic,” says Nick Anderson, Director of Sales at Four Seasons Resort Orlando.

With 38,000 square feet (3,500 square metres) of light-filled meeting space, including two ballrooms, numerous breakout rooms, and gorgeous lakeside event lawns, Four Seasons Resort Orlando offers a versatile setting for groups to convene. The expert banquets team, helmed by Four Seasons veteran Director of Banquets Maximiliano Hernandez, who brings 20 years’ experience in food and beverage, orchestrates seamless service.

Disney World Location

Being situated within the grounds of The Most Magical Place on Earth has its perks: guests receive complimentary transportation to the Walt Disney World Resort theme parks and can enjoy the new Early Parks Entry benefit, with valid theme park admission and park reservation, for even more fun in the parks. There’s also the option for meeting planners to work with Disney Celebrations and Events, available to assist with any group ticket needs, and even create a micro-web site for ticketing needs just for their group. Private bus transportation can be arranged to take large groups direct to the parks for their group outings.

Disney Character Entertainment

Events at Four Seasons Resort Orlando can have a magical touch by incorporating a guest appearance by a special character.  Disney Celebrations and Events is available to assist Four Seasons clients with arranging character appearances including Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, and other beloved characters for private meet-and-greets in the Resort’s event spaces. “Many of our groups like the characters to make an appearance for a welcome kick-off to the meeting, to energize and excite the group, or at the conclusion of their meeting, for a memorable photo opportunity,” adds Anderson.

A theme that some of Four Seasons clients have enjoyed is Disney’s “Club Evil,” an incredible event that transforms a space with lighting and décor as Disney villains provide the wicked entertainment. Guests can enjoy themed food and beverages, such as sipping on a Poison Appletini with the Evil Queen from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs or delicious Red Velvet Cakes with Dalmatian Chips alongside Cruella de Vil from 101 Dalmatians. The Disney Divas of Evil become the hosts for the evening at their very own “Club Evil,” with characters such as the Queen of Hearts from Alice in Wonderland, Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty and Ursula from The Little Mermaid, all providing an evening that can only be described as devilishly delightful.

The Resort welcomed a family program event for a corporate incentive group, held in June 2018, which included a collaboration with Disney Celebrations and Events on an 800-person dinner held in the Resort’s Grand Ballroom, masterfully themed for Beauty and the Beast.  The event featured multiple character appearances including Belle and the Beast, and featured face painters, caricature artists, and makeup and hair styling set up for the little children to enjoy as part of the overall “belle of the ball” experience.  The entire ballroom was draped in gold, with shimmering linens, elaborate archways, a large faux “castle” window backdrop, and décor that made it feel like a French chalet.

Off-Site Events in the Walt Disney World Parks

Four Seasons meetings and events groups have the opportunity to host special events at Walt Disney World theme parks, to complement their meetings at Four Seasons.  They can seamlessly plan a meeting and banquet dinner at the Resort, and then afterward, have transportation arranged to take the group to a private dessert party and fireworks viewing in a reserved space at EPCOT, for example. From an Italian theme dinner at Four Seasons Resort Orlando with Executive Chef Fabrizio Schenardi, to an incredible dessert party in “Venice” at the Italy pavilion in World Showcase at EPCOT, it will be an evening event attendees won’t soon forget.

Custom Gifting

The Resort’s two gift shops, Fable and Wardrobe, offer an array of wonderful gifts and accessories that make the perfect welcome or farewell treats for event attendees. The retail team can work with event planners to customize gifts, and some items can be personalised with the company’s logo. Items such as CORKCICLE cups, wood charcuterie boards shaped like Mickey Mouse and the Disney princesses, stainless steel wine bottle stoppers in the shape of Mickey, Sugarfina candies and more can be creatively packaged to ensure the gift is a welcome surprise that expresses appreciation. The Resort also offers a new line of princess-inspired clothing for little girls by UK designer Rachel Riley.

Exceptional Culinary Offerings

Four Seasons Resort Orlando has six different restaurants, including Capa, recently awarded a Michelin star, plus a separate Demonstration Kitchen, with the ability to host interactive cooking demonstrations for groups. There are a variety of classes and tastings that can be arranged with different themes. One example is a chocolate and rum pairing, where a mixologist and pastry chef guides the attendees through a tasting experience where they will learn how unique rums and indulgent chocolates can delight the senses. Executive Chef Schenardi, from Torino, Italy, can also demonstrate his housemade pasta making techniques, such as his signature veal ravioli dish. Twice nominated as a James Beard Award Semi-finalist for Outstanding Pastry Chef Rabii Saber, Executive Pastry Chef, can also lead a chocolate making class or chocolate and bourbon tasting. No matter what flavours are desired, Four Seasons can work with the group to create a culinary event that dazzles. For groups seeking a theme inspired by Disney, the talented team of culinarians and mixologists can create a menu that fits in with the theme and will create a memorable impression. With Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure now open at EPCOT, Chef Gabriel Massip, a French chef, can customize a French menu event to fit in with a Parisian theme, for example. Attendees can also reserve the entire Capa restaurant in the daytime hours for a private breakfast or lunch event.

Unparalleled Fun and Entertainment

Those seeking adventure and fun will find it all at Four Seasons Orlando, which features an incredible five-acre (two hectare) Explorer Island waterpark, home to a lazy river, two water slides, family pool, interactive splash zone, a sand volleyball court, a basketball court, rock climbing wall, and more. Plus, the Resort offers a full recreation component, from the 18-holes of Tom Fazio golf to three Har-Tru tennis courts to a 24-hour fitness centre with twice daily fitness classes and personal training offered. Golf lessons and tennis lessons can also be arranged for individuals or groups. The team at Four Seasons can also arrange programs for the attendee’s guests, including children’s programs, and will ensure every detail is taken care of. Plus, with all the festivities in store for Disney’s 50th anniversary and The World’s Most Magical Celebration, meeting attendees will be incredibly excited to partake in an event that allows them to be a part of these once-in-a-lifetime experience.
