Work Out, Recover, Repeat: Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan Launches Holistic Fitness Hub

August 12, 2025,
Bali at Sayan, Indonesia

Train smart, recover smarter. It’s the concept behind the all-new Fitness Hub launching at Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan on August 12, 2025. Set in the Resort’s soaring riverside surrounds, the Fitness Hub includes a fully-equipped gym and holistic recovery facilities, a Fit Bar and Boutique, and three private studios with personal trainers.

The fitness-focused space is part of a comprehensive approach to health and wellbeing at the jungle sanctuary Resort. Recently reimagined, The Sacred River Spa aligns with the rhythmic energy of the Ayung River to restore balance through an enhanced treatment program. Now, guests can further their wellness journey at the Fitness Hub with complimentary access to a river-view gym and separate male and female locker rooms complete with showers, saunas and steam rooms. Healthy pre- or post-workout refreshments can be found in the Fit Bar, while the next-door Boutique showcases a range of on-trend branded activewear.

Customised Support

For those seeking a bespoke experience, three private studios—a gym, recovery area and furnished Pilates space—are available to book at an additional charge for one person or couple at a time. Certified local instructors are on hand for individual fitness guidance.

The private Recovery Room includes an infrared zero-gravity lounger, shown to relax muscles, increase blood flow, improve balance and boost endorphins. Two specialised experiences help to restore balance. The 90-minute Pulih Batin is a semi-guided journey of recovery combining breathwork, ice bath/steam room contrast therapy, and the infrared lounger for deep relaxation. Designed to reduce inflammation and boost circulation, the 30-minute Hydrotherapy Healing allows use of the steam room and ice bath, alternated at an individual’s own pace.

Guests can also book a 60-minute session in the private Pilates studio with an instructor—available as needed for both beginners and more advanced practitioners—to discover this popular low impact exercise. A selection of top-of-the-range equipment including reformers, rings, weights, bands, balls, and spine barrel can help to improve core strength and posture, while elevating energy and mood.  In the private gym, kit such as the FitBench for a complete workout program and a treadmill are complemented by recovery-friendly myofascial rollers.

Snack and Shop

Whether fuelling a workout or supporting recovery, the Fit Bar offers locally sourced, ready-to-go healthy snacks and functional drinks. Protein bars from local suppliers are 100 percent plant-based, sugar- and gluten-free, and made with raw Balinese fruit and nuts. Sustainable, natural beverages such as kombucha made from clean harvested rainwater and prebiotic drinks support healthy hydration. In the Boutique, guests can find a collection of branded activewear for both men and women.

“We’re delighted to expand our commitment to wellness with new facilities that take a holistic approach to fitness,” comments Luisa Anderson. “From integrative recovery sessions to mindful movement spaces, our guests now have access to a full spectrum of options for restoring balance and vitality. Nestled in Sayan’s serene natural surroundings, this is more than just a gym—it’s a sanctuary for renewal.”

The Sacred River Spa

The Fitness Hub wellness offerings join the thoughtful redesign, enhanced treatments, and new meditation and healing experiences at The Sacred River Spa. Located on the green banks of the Ayung River and harnessing the area’s renowned tranquillity, the Spa includes a refreshed reception and lounge area complete with a lotus pond, and seven revamped Spa Villas.
