33 Years of Hope in Motion at Four Seasons Hotel Singapore: Run For Hope 2026 Continues the Fight Against Cancer
For 33 years, Run For Hope has brought people together in a shared commitment to advancing cancer research and standing alongside those impacted by cancer. Returning to Marina Barrage on Sunday, November 29, 2026, the iconic event invites individuals, families and communities to unite once again in support of a cancer-free future. Registration for Run For Hope 2026 is now open at runforhopesg.com.
Top contributors of Run For Hope 2026 will stand a chance to win the grand prize for this year’s lucky draw event: a pair of Singapore Airlines return Business Class tickets to Western Sydney, worth USD 11,400.
Over the years, Run For Hope has united more than 20,000 participants in support of the fight against cancer and last year's edition saw runners raise over USD 190,000 for the NCC Research Fund, helping to advance cancer research. Organised by Four Seasons Hotel Singapore in partnership with the National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS), the event will feature 5km and 10km run categories, welcoming participants of all ages and fitness levels to be part of a movement that has championed cancer research since 1993.
A Symbol of Hope: Exclusively-Designed Run T-Shirt by Cancer Patient
This year's edition holds special significance as for the first time, participants will don an official run t-shirt, exclusively designed by Cindy Neo, a patient at NCCS, full-time artist and founder of Room To Imagine, an artist-led studio.
"My artistic journey changed course in 2017 when my first cancer diagnosis led me to leave my corporate career and fully embrace art. The same instinct that draws me toward abstract, flowing forms inspired by galaxies and oceans now shapes this year's Run For Hope t-shirt. The ribbon at its centre isn't a static symbol. It's alive and in motion, much like my own journey since that diagnosis," said Cindy.
As thousands take to the course this November, participants will quite literally carry a message of hope with them — a powerful expression of courage and a visible reminder of the lives, stories and futures that cancer research seeks to impact.
Thirty-Three Years of Standing Together
From its beginnings as a modest community-run event, Run For Hope has grown into one of Singapore's most enduring cancer awareness events. Today, the event continues to serve as a platform uniting patients, survivors, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and supporters from all walks of life. Together, they demonstrate the collective strength of a community committed to creating better outcomes for future generations affected by cancer.
“Run For Hope has grown into more than just a run. It’s a heartfelt tradition that brings our people together in the spirit of solidarity and compassion. Every year, we are inspired by stories of resilience and the steadfast support of our community,” says Peter Draminsky, Regional Vice President and General Manager of Four Seasons Hotel Singapore. “To see thousands unite with such purpose, whether for a loved one, in memory, or simply to make a difference, is profoundly moving. It's not just about the distance covered, but the collective commitment to hope, healing, and progress.”
Every Step Supports the Future of Cancer Research
Cancer remains the leading cause of death in Singapore, accounting for 26.2 percent of all deaths from 2019-2023. While advances in early detection and treatment have improved outcomes for many patients, continued investment in research remains critical to accelerating breakthroughs and improving lives.
“Every contribution to Run For Hope advances research that brings us closer to life-saving breakthroughs, giving hope to patients today and in the future,” said Professor Lim Soon Thye, CEO, National Cancer Centre Singapore. “We are grateful to everyone who has stood with us. Together, we turn hope into meaningful progress.”
Running for Those We Love
Among those returning to Run For Hope is Lin Jia Hui, a cancer patient who participated in Run For Hope 2025 in memory of a close friend who lost her battle with cancer.
“Run For Hope meant everything to me. As a cancer patient, I know how fragile hope can be. I ran for that hope, for my dear friend whom I lost to cancer, and for everyone still fighting,” said Jia Hui. “To run alongside so many others reminded me that no one faces cancer alone. Every step is a step towards hope.”
Even if you are unable to take part in the run, you can still make a meaningful difference. Every contribution goes towards supporting cancer research led by NCCS, helping to advance discoveries that can lead to earlier diagnoses, more effective treatments and better patient care.
Supporters can also start a personal or team page, rally friends and family to contribute, or simply help spread the word about Run For Hope 2026 within their own circles. However you choose to take part, every contribution brings Singapore one step closer to a cancer-free tomorrow.
Together, let us carry hope forward — one step, one story and one breakthrough at a time.
