The Season of Accolades Continues with Second Michelin Star for SÉZANNE at Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Marunouchi

Unveiled on November 15, 2022, the latest edition of the Michelin Guide Tokyo has awarded a second star to SÉZANNE, the signature French restaurant at Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Marunouchi.

Chef Daniel Calvert’s exemplary cuisine continued to impress the Guide inspectors, who revised their rating upwards from 1 Michelin star in 2021 to 2 Michelin stars in 2022.

“This is an incredible recognition for a young restaurant like ours. My team and I are thrilled at achieving an even higher standard of excellence this year,” says Chef Daniel. “We would like to thank our guests and partners for their invaluable support. Our endeavour, as always, is to continue delivering exceptional dining experiences every single day.”

Extraordinary Epicurean Journeys

Located on the 7th floor of the boutique Four Seasons property, SÉZANNE offers a dynamic dining journey in the heart of Tokyo. Savour classically rooted modern French cuisine by Chef Daniel, crafted with a light touch and plated with precision.

Seasonally updated degustation menus feature fine ingredients from prefectures across Japan, complemented by a repertoire of beautifully balanced desserts. The restaurant’s show kitchen invites diners to engage with the cooking journey, while Andre Fu’s contemporary interiors speak a language of relaxed luxury.

Chef Daniel’s technique-driven cuisine is complemented by an eclectic selection of Champagne, wine and sake curated by Sommelier Nobuhide Otsuka. As a Krug Ambassador, SÉZANNE is one of the few places in the world where guests can experience the distinctive Champagnes of Maison Krug.

The newly renovated Chef’s Table Private Room offers a theatre-style setting for guests to experience SÉZANNE’s orchestra-like culinary performance. Each gourmet feast at this intimate salon is hosted personally by Chef Daniel.

Along with holding 2 Michelin stars, SÉZANNE is ranked #17 on Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants List 2022.
